Basically, there is one drawer (box) for each subject. (I purchased the 10-drawer cart from Michael's. JoAnn's also sells them). Every day I will put in the box everything that she needs to do for that subject. Worksheets, workbooks, manipulatives, games, etc. even a snack! For example, in the math box she might find her workbook assignment for that day, instructions to play a math game on the iPad, a math coloring sheet or something like that. Then, once she completes EVERYTHING in the box she will take the card off of the box (they have Velcro on the back) and stick it on the "Done" chart. Obviously the goal is to get all the cards from the boxes to the "Done" chart. I have adjusted the system somewhat because the original system uses numbers on the boxes. I chose to use subject cards with pictures. It just seemed easier to me and some of the bloggers that use the system have found the subject cards easier as well. I may implement this system with chores also. Reagan often forgets to do some of her chores and I think having to move the card from one place to another when it is done will help. We shall see! Griffin's work will mostly be on the computer, however, I may get him a smaller cart for the few subjects that are not on the computer.
